Breeding for Big Body and Big Frames
We went into deer farming as wildlife enthusiasts knowing that our goal was to produce deer with big body and big frame genetics. This is why we carefully evaluated the farms we wanted to work that had the pedigrees we were looking for.
Wide pedigree selection on our farm
We picked four great farms to work with with varying pedigrees so that we could outcross our deer and optimize our genetics! We started off with 65 Bred Does, 5 Breeder Bucks, a dozen yearlings and 2 year old bucks, 12 fawn doe. We now have over deer on the property with an awesome selection of pedigrees.
